Good example of one of my favourite styles. Toffee and caramel with a mild bitterness that tastes like more.

This is what workers all over the UK turn to at the end of the day. Not many, however, will find such perfect balance. Indeed, throughout the range, the Master Brewer has used exceptional malt/ hop combinations. Very drinkable and satisfying.

An excellent, true English ale. Takes me back to the UK 40 years ago. Lovely!

I’ve had the pleasure of imbibing all of Agar’s beers, and I love them. I find many South African craft beers to be too fizzy. Agar’s brews have perfect balance in this department, and the English bitter is a wonderful example of this. I’ve lived in the US and the UK, and all of Agar’s beers are great examples of the styles found there. Hell, I even like their lager, and I’m not a lager drinker by preference. A much neglected aspect of South African craft beer is aftertaste. Again, Agar’s beer excels in this department.
